Peggy Lehner, (R) - District 6, HB 198 Bill Sponsor   WHERE:   Statehouse Ladies’ Gallery (across from the Hayes Hearing Room, 114) Substitute House Bill 198 of the 126th General Assembly paved the way for a PCMH Education Pilot Project to be extended to 44 primary care practices throughout the state.   The PCMH model gives Ohioans the quality of care they need to increase their level of health at every stage of life by making value, not volume, the foundation of medical practice.   Wednesday’s announcement will mark another important step in improving care coordination for vulnerable Ohioans through the PCMH initiative.   It will also offer an opportunity to hear from Dr. Paul Grundy, IBM Corporation’s Global Director of IBM Health Care Transformation and President of the national Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative, who is the leading national expert on PCMH.
